Property owner denied flood damage assistance, sues title insurer

After her home was damaged by Hurricane Isaac, a New Orleans property owner applied for a disaster assistance loan to repair her property. Her application was denied because of a notice disqualifying the property from future federal disaster assistance, which she did not discover when purchasing the property. She filed a claim with her title insurer, but was denied. She then filed suit and the title insurer moved to dismiss the case.
