Eric Morgan, president of Attorneys Title Guaranty Fund, Inc. (ATGF) of Denver, announced Jim Johnson joined the firm as agency representative for Utah and Colorado. In this role, Johnson will help ATGF keep its strong ties with its existing independent agents while establishing new relationships in both states.
“Jim is a high caliber individual and we’re extremely fortunate to have him join our team,” Morgan said. “Jim’s strong marketing and entrepreneurial background will be a great asset in supporting and growing our existing agency relationships, and establishing new ones.”
Executive Vice President and General Counsel Brian Coleman, who manages ATGF’s Utah operations, praised Johnson’s extensive experience within the title industry and strong relationships in the state.
“Jim is well known and respected throughout the Utah title industry and beyond. His credibility and expertise will be invaluable to our agents and to ATGF,” he said.
Johnson will focus on growing and supporting the ATGF agency base in Utah and Colorado.
Johnson has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate and title insurance industry. Most recently, he was market development manager for RedVision Systems, a national provider of title searches and real property data. In this capacity, Johnson was instrumental in expanding service to include Utah, Nevada, Arizona and states throughout the Midwest. Previously, Johnson worked as vice president, Utah Operations for LandAmerica Financial Group Inc. where he launched their highly successful Agency Service Center. Johnson was successful in growing new agent business, increasing agency remittance and improving underwriter profitability in the western region.
Johnson graduated from the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business, with a BA in accounting.
