A convicted fraudster sued a title agency, agency employees and a title insurer, arguing that it was the agency employees’ errors on closing documents that led to his conviction. He asked the court for $12 million in compensatory and punitive damages. After a trial court granted summary judgment in favor of the title entities, the fraudster appealed.
