When making plans to develop property he owned in Winnebago, Mo., the property owner discovered that he and another individual both held deeds to a one-acre tract of land on his property. He filed a claim with his title insurer, who provided him compensation for the damages caused by the dueling deeds. However, the owner thought the amount was not enough and filed suit.
